• As a yearling Black Angus bull in 2002, we thought very highly of his fleshing ability, his flawless phenotype, good feet and calving ease potential, plus he had nice scrotal development & semen quality.
• We retained 1/3 semen interest and sold him to Ole Farms from Athabasca. When we found out that he was siring red calves we collected semen and added him to our Black Red carrier program. The results are fabulous.
• His daughters are among the best and his sons rise to the top. The fleshing ability on his progeny is outstanding. From the 32 progeny born here he has posted an average birthweight of 71 lbs to index 95 with a Weaning Index of 101 and Yearling Index of 102.
• 1743L is in the top 2% of the breed for BW EPD and top 6% for Calving Ease (+13.0).
